EARTH NEEDS MORE COMEDIANS

“I was compelled to make a documentary about regular people becoming comedians.  I hear it all the time; ‘I could never go up on stage...' ‘I’m too horrified to stand in front of an audience... ‘I could never tell a joke or be funny.’  I used to believe that, but Comedy Instructor Barry Weisenberg and his students say; you can do it.

Indeed the class is not competitive, but supportive, as everyone learns something about themselves and others.  Many discover it’s a bit therapeutic to do standup, giving yourself a challenging obstacle to overcome with rewarding results.  Today’s world Is unfortunately often dominated by unpleasant news, isolating computer jobs, video games and texting. Comedy is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.  Earth Needs More Comedians.

What a great documentary...It was wonderful to watch everyday people talk about their lives and
realize that others will find it funny. Barry is a great teacher who positively shows how a
"would be comic" can write material...We need more comedians...

Informative fun documentary that captures the desire of future comedians. Valuable lessons for the preformer, the host, or for use just amongst friends. I love the classroom/interview format used. Great job!

Good to know there is a learning path if you think you are funny like me and wondered if you could do stand-up. Maybe I won't be taking the stage but the insightful peek behind the building of new comedians is a lot of fun.

Very inspirational. I always wanted to be a comedian, now I see a way to get started.
